Want to help support your State or Local Library? Here's how you can help:

Woonsocket, South Dakota Public Library has a Wish List on Amazon.com. If you would like to donate a book from the Wish List, click on the link, select a book and purchase it. Amazon will send it directly to us. We thank you for all your support.
 

Donations Accepted

  • Books in good condition, except textbooks and Reader's Digest Condensed books.
  • Media materials (VHS, DVD, CD, audiocassettes, books on tape, vinyl records) in good condition. 
  • Magazines - current within one year.
  • National Geographic - current within one year.
  • Women's magazines, Craft/Art magazines - all years if in good condition.

The library can accept  computers, printers, scanners or flat screen monitors that are less then one year old.

What does the library do with donations?

All donations are greatly appreciated. The library reviews donated items then adds them to the collection or sells them in Our Shop.  The money raised by Our Shop sales is then used to purchase other library materials.
 

Bringing donations to the library

Patrons wishing to donate items may drop items in the donation bin inside the library and get a tax receipt at the Customer Service Desk.

If patron has too much donation material to fit in the donation bin, they may ask for assistance at the Customer Service Desk.  The library can lend the patron a cart to help bring the materials inside or get staff to assist in transporting the materials.
